Merry Monday Challenge #261!

Welcome to our new Merry Monday Challenge! A great way to start up a collection of Christmas cards so you'll have them all ready to send in December!

This week, Kelly is our hostess and she is asking for Ornaments on our cards. I used the Star Of Light stamp set to add my ornament:

The swirl image was perfect to use as a branch to hang my ornament from. I love that I stuck with a lot of white-space on my card that make the colors really pop. I added a simple layer to the center of my ornament that I glued in place with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals:

Have a gone ahead and dove in to get a head start on your Christmas cards yet? It's not too late to start now by using our theme this week at Merry Monday Challenge! Visit the blog to see the wonderful inspiration from my teammates this week!

Challenge for my Customers and Downline!

Good Morning Blog Readers! Before I show you my post for today, I've had quite a few of you ask what I am storing my new Stampin' Blends in. I had mentioned in yesterday's video that I would tell you and I forgot to mention it at the end. This is what I am talking about that I just love:

I also use this holder for my Stampin' Write Markers. You can search the title of the item for more choices too. Click on this link:

Now on to today's post. I have lots and lots of inspiration for you today. I host a challenge each month on a group Facebook page that I created for all of my customers and downline. I post the challenge and allow a whole month for participants to join in. This month, I posted one of my cards as inspiration:

These were my instructions:

September Challenge: Please use the card I am posting as a "Sketch Challenge". For those of you new to sketch challenges, you use the layout of the card to create a new card. The daisy can be replaced with a different element. The sentiment layer can be replaced with a different shape (die or punch). Use your own colors and designer papers. Here are the measurements to help you:

Card Base: 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
Layer 2 top: Designer paper 4" x 2".
Layer 2 bottom: Designer paper 4" x 3-1/4".
One sentiment layer
One element (in place of the daisy)
Ribbon or something else where the two designer papers meet.
Deadline to join in is September 30. This is a contest and I will post voting like we did last month. Winner will receive a package of Foil Snowflakes and a package of Year Of Cheer Embellishments found on page 37.

Here are all of the entries into my challenge. I had 13 girls participate this month and all of the cards were beautiful! I have added the names of each designer on the photos:

Deb's card was the winning card chosen by individual voting!

Thanks so all of you that participated. Your cards were all beautiful! Stay tuned for next month as I host an "Inspiration Photo Challenge"!

RemARKably Created October Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and welcome to a "Last Minute Halloween Treat Idea" from all of us participating in the RemARKably Creative Blog Hop! There's only a few week's left for Halloween so I hope we can all give you lots of inspiration if you are not prepared for the kiddos!

This is what I created for a quick and easy last minute Halloween project:

I started with a small Mason Jar (jelly size) and most of what you need for this treat holder is the Spooky Night Designer Paper, the Cat Punch and Paper Snips. Here's a close-up of the lid:

I kept the lid simple in case you wanted to mass-produce and the cuteness on the front of the jar was all cut from the Spooky Night Designer Paper. The sheet with all the kitties on it coordinates with the Cat Punch. How easy is that? I then added two pumpkins that are hand-cut using the pumpkin images from another sheet:

I started with the front of the jar and added a layer of designer paper to match the lid, measuring 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and glued that to the front using Glue Dots. I then layered a Foil Snowflake that I cut down to size with the 2-1/4" Circle Punch . The cut pumpkins and kitty are glued in place with Stampin' Dimensionals. The final layer is the sentiment from the Seasonal Chums stamp set in Basic Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I cut the shape using the Classic Label Punch and snuck it in there with adhesive. Fill with candy and you're good to go!

Now it's time to visit all of the other participants in the blog hop. You can click the name below mine (Debbie Henderson) and take the whole tour. Thanks for visiting me tonight!

This kit was made specifically to be used with our new Blends. The Blends, the kit and the stamp set will be available soon for customers. I don't have a date for you yet. Stay tuned!

The photo's below are individual close-ups of each card that I colored with the Blends. These cards were fantastic to color and assemble and you get 4 cards of each design in the card kit:

You'll be able to see me color all of the images from the kit in my video AND there's more! I also show you how I created and colored the three cards below. All of them using the new Blends from Stampin' Up!

The Remarkable You stamp set is perfect for learning how to color with our new Blends. On the first card, I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blends. All images that are colored with Blends need to be stamped with Memento Jet Black Ink to avoid smearing, smudging and running of the ink:

Aren't the colors pretty?

The second card uses the Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blends. I also colored my Pearl Jewels with the Calypso Coral because YES.....you can color non-porous elements and materials with these markers!

Another example of some pretty shading:

For my last card, I used the Merry Cafe and the Coffee Cafe stamp sets and colored the top and bottom of the coffee cup.  I show you how I did this in my new video:

For this one I used Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Melon Mambo Blends:

Ready to watch my video? It's a little long because I had SO MUCH to show you. It was hard to keep it short. I hope you'll agree that these Blends are a must and that you'll want to get them now by being part of my team.
